Pay for performance, Molly Ivins

George W. Bush thinks it’s a great idea to link pay to performance.  And this from a man who is currently paid $400,000 a year to do whatever it is that he does all day.  If George W. were to take the occasional look at his performance polls he would see the irony in all of this.  Unfortunately, the polls have not penetrated the bubble yet.  In Bush’s case if pay for performance was the standard he would owe money to the American people.

Bush’s America.”  She had suffered from breast cancer for a long time but it did not take the edge off her incisive criticism of President Cheney, Bush and the rest of the minions.  She will be missed.
