The Chicken Hawks vs Stephen King…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Stephen KingYou might think that Cinefantastique is an odd place to find political controversy.  However, Editor Steve Biodrowski has an excellent piece on the recent attacks against Stephen King by the right wing media.

Apparently, the right wing chickenhawks over at Faux News have donned their clown makeup and gone after America’s favourite horror novelist for his “elitist” views.

As you will likely remember, Barak Obama was similarly accused of being an “elitist”.

As we move forward into the Presidential election I foresee that being cast as “elitist” will take on the same connotation as being “liberal”.

Steve’s piece on the controversy is at Cinefantastique and is worth a read.

Today (tomorrow the world).
